MIAMI, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Burger King Corporation today announced the
appointment of Steven C. DeSutter as Senior Vice President, Corporate
Communications, effective immediately. Mr. DeSutter, 50, will be a member of
the Executive Leadership Team and will report directly to Greg Brenneman,
Chief Executive Officer, Burger King Corporation.

Mr. DeSutter will be responsible for all corporate communication functions
both domestically and internationally, including external and media
communications, internal communications and community relations.

Prior to joining Burger King Corporation, Mr. DeSutter was Senior Vice
President of TurnWorks, Inc., a private equity and advisory firm that
specializes in corporate turnarounds. Mr. DeSutter joined TurnWorks in 2001
and executed a number of significant projects for the firm. In June 2002, Mr.
DeSutter joined the senior team at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (PwCC) as
Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, where he worked alongside Mr.
Brenneman to successfully restructure PwC Consulting.
At PwCC, Mr. DeSutter was responsible for corporate communications in 53
countries through both direct reports and a network of locally based
professionals for media communications and public relations, employee
communications and community relations.
Prior to joining TurnWorks, Mr. DeSutter was Senior Vice President, Sales
and Marketing of Powerway Inc., an Indianapolis, Indiana-based provider of
Internet and enterprise software solutions for managing data associated with
new product development in the automotive industry. Prior to Powerway, Mr.
DeSutter was President of ABS-QE and Group Vice President of ABS Group, a
global consulting and auditing firm for compliance to maritime and industrial
management system standards.
In 1978, Mr. DeSutter joined British Petroleum (BP) and spent 18 years
with the company in manufacturing, commodities and service businesses. During
his tenure at BP and BP Chemicals, Mr. DeSutter held positions in general
management, corporate communications (including public relations), marketing,
M&A, product quality and change management, in addition to a number of
entrepreneurial roles in which he was responsible for starting new businesses.
During this time BP became a high performance global competitor.
Mr. DeSutter holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce magna cum laude from
Niagara University.
