Health Fitness Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: HFIT) today announced it
has signed an exclusive agreement with Prevention First, Inc. (PFI), also
based here, developers of the "HealthyBack" program. Under the three-year
agreement, Health Fitness (HFC) will have exclusive rights to market and
provide PFI's scientifically proven back injury reduction program to
corporations in the Untied States. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The PFI "HealthyBack" program employs patented MedX equipment combined
with scientifically proven, clinically based back strengthening exercises to
reduce workplace back injuries. Using scientifically based studies, since
1996 PFI has been able to reduce back injury claims and costs for its clients
by over 75 percent. Major companies currently using the "HealthyBack" program
include Northwest Airlines, SuperValu and United Airlines.
"We expect that the addition of the 'HealthyBack' program to our HFC
offerings will be very appealing to our corporate clients across America,"

expected to double over the next five years, placing prevention as a top
agenda item for every corporate human resources officer and CFO. Back
injuries are the single largest expense within the Workers Compensation area,
accounting for almost 50 percent of these costs on a national basis and this
is the very area PFI's 'HealthyBack' program targets."
