Financial Strategists and International Bankers to Meet at 2002 Strategic Conference on Financial Technology and Marketing in Miami

MIAMI, Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Al Valdes, President and CEO of a $1 billion
bank in Miami and newly elected President of the Florida International Bankers
Association, will be one of several hundred bankers and corporate leaders who
will attend the 2002 Strategic Conference on Financial Technology and
Marketing to be held in Miami from August 26 to 28 at the Hotel
Intercontinental. The conference is tailored towards senior managers,
including CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and marketing managers.
This conference will present a fresh perspective on doing business in a
rapidly changing marketplace. "The Florida International Bankers Association
(FIBA) has gathered the largest and most prestigious group of strategists,
consultants, bankers, academics, and technology providers in the hemisphere
for three days of intensive interchange of ideas and insights," said Mr.
Valdes. "We want to provide our members with a strategic vision which is
'horizontal' across all the business lines within the company." Attendees at
the event will be looking for innovation, new ideas, and opportunities for
greater profitability in 2003.
Today's top issues cut across all industries: information security and
controls, e-business, privacy, disaster recovery, qualified personnel -- both
technical and non technical, cost reduction, quality of service, and customer
satisfaction.
Because technology plays a critical role in doing business efficiently and
cost effectively, conference delegates will also have an opportunity to talk
to major technology providers such as 3Com, Sun Microsystems, Dell, IBM,
Oracle, Terra Networks, Telefonica Data, Internet Security Systems and many
others, during the three-day event.
Bankers and corporate leaders from throughout Latin America, including
many from the 1000 member strong Federation of Latin American Banks (FELABAN)
and Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA), will be present at this
event. For more information please visit http://www.felatech2002.net or email at
