Intraday Stock Screener Now Available on CBS.MarketWatch.com

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Active investors seeking instant
trading ideas have a new tool -- the Intraday Stock Screener, available as of
this week on CBS.MarketWatch.com at
www2.marketwatch.com/marketpulse/screener.asp.
"The Intraday Stock Screener is a uniquely powerful tool," said
Chris Tersteeg, MarketWatch Director of Engineering. "Unlike other stock
screeners that only provide end-of-day data, the MarketWatch Screener lets you
select stocks based on actual intraday performance."
"From the perspective of the active trader, the MarketWatch stock screener
is a killer app," said William Bishop Executive Vice President, Business
Development. "It is one more reason why CBS.MarketWatch.com is the leading
financial content site on the Web."
The Intraday Stock Screener is a tick-based tool that enables users to
generate stock trading ideas based on desired criteria. Users can conduct
searches according to any or all of seven general screening categories:
price, volume, valuation measures, moving averages, relative strength,
exchange, or industry group.
Each search can be conducted based on precise specifications. Investors
can request the screener to "show me stocks" trading from, for instance,
$15 to $20 per share, up in price by 1% or more during the last 15 minutes,
and trading above their 52-week high. Other search features include:

-- Volume searches based on block trades of a user-specified number of
shares over a requested intraday time frame.
-- Valuation searches based on requested ranges for P/E ratios and market
       capitalization.
-- Screening based on a stock's requested moving average over a
       user-specified period.
-- "Relative strength" selection of stocks that are either
"out-performing" or "under performing" the market index by a
        user-specified percentage.

In addition to being available on CBS.MarketWatch.com, the Intraday Stock
Screener is also licensed by other Internet sites. MarketWatch licenses
customized financial news and tools to the top online brokerage, bank, portal
and online media properties.
Other tools available on CBS.MarketWatch.com include the newly added
CBS MarketWatch Alerts, in addition to Interactive Charting, Broker Research,
Industry Analyzer and Hot Stock Tracker.
