Gateway Sweepstakes Offers a Trip to New Zealand, Free Games and DVDs

today launched a Hobbit-worthy sweepstakes. Coinciding with New Line Home
Entertainment's release of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
on DVD/VHS, the promotion features PC savings, a free DVD of the film with the
purchase of any Gateway PC, and a sweepstakes with a grand prize trip to New
Zealand where the award-winning movie was filmed.
Now through September 6, Gateway customers can register for The Lord of
the Rings sweepstakes at any one of the 274 Gateway stores nationwide. The
grand prize winner will receive a ten-day/seven-night trip for two to New
Zealand. There, they will explore the country's rolling hills and pristine
peaks that were used to bring J.R.R. Tolkein's literary classic to life,
including locations used in filming Rivendell, Hobbiton, Mordor, Isengard and
the Misty Mountains.
Twenty-five second-prize winners will receive a copy of The Lord of the
Rings video game from EA Sports and 100 third place winners will each receive
a Lord of the Rings T-shirt. Winners will be randomly drawn on or about
September 9, 2002.
For a limited time with the purchase of any Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4
DVD-enabled Gateway(R) Desktop PC, customers will receive a free copy of The
Lord of the Rings DVD.
