customized a fully integrated, online front and back-end policy processing
system for Gateway Insurance Company of St. Louis, MO. Replacing existing
legacy technology, the new system integrates third party software together
with MFX's WriteNow online underwriting system and its web-based claim
handling system, ClaimsAssure and is all provided under SecureSource, its
data center outsourcing services.
Brian Casey, Senior VP for Claims and Litigation Council at Gateway,
reports, "We are primarily a non-standard automotive and commercial
automotive lines provider but have recently expanded into general liability
and more specialty areas such as liability for roofing contractors. Gateway

internal front-to-back policy processing system that could keep pace with
our new strategy."

integrated solution, Gateway's aims were increased efficiency and

better utilized by outside agents, inside claims people and financial
managers. We were replacing two separate systems for commercial and
personal automotive lines that required two separate training programs and

Under the terms of the agreement, MFX will provide this new system to
Gateway Insurance via an ASP- (applications service provider) based model.
Not only does this enable subscriber-based usage, which can be controlled
by Gateway, but also removes the need for costly investment in software
licenses, hardware and experienced personnel that often make these types of
projects cost-prohibitive.
