Projects Include Habitat for Humanity Homes, School Supply Drives
DETROIT, Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Helping to make communities around the
country better places to live and work, GMAC Financial Services will
provide funding and sponsorships for 13 community improvement projects
throughout the month of August, including the building of homes in
partnership with Habitat for Humanity and the collection of school supplies
for students in need.
GMAC's commitment is part of a larger effort being conducted by the
Financial Services Roundtable and its annual Community Build Day
initiative. Along with 76 other financial services companies, Community
Build Day results in the building of homes in more than 200 cities across
the United States, as well as participation in other activities aimed at
improving the community that financial services companies serve.
"At GMAC Financial Services, we embrace these opportunities to give
back to our communities," said GMAC President Bill Muir. "GMAC believes in
supporting efforts that strengthen local communities, particularly those
focusing on housing and human services, financial literacy and education.

competitors in the marketplace, but this day shows our cooperation in the
community."
