MIAMI, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Florida International Bankers
Association (FIBA) will showcase the best in technology for the financial
industry at their upcoming Strategic Conference on Financial Technology and
Marketing, in Miami, on August 26-28, 2002.
Confirmed speakers and exhibitors are drawn from the top names in the
financial industry -- 3com, Diebold, Onbase, IBM, Cisco, Compuquip, ABN AMRO
Bank, Terra-Invertia, Citibank, Bradesco (Brazil), Banorte (Mexico), Internet
Security Systems, and VISA, among others. The consulting industry will be
represented by Accenture, McKinsey & Co., TowerGroup, and IDC.
The goal of conference is to provide banks with an integrated vision of
the strategy, technology and marketing elements needed to achieve customer
loyalty and satisfaction, as well as bank profitability.

Bankers from the more than 600 FELABAN members throughout Latin America
(Federation of Latin American Banks), as well as from Florida who are part of
the Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA), or the Florida Bankers
Association (FBA), including community banks, will attend.
FIBA was founded in 1979 to foster international banking, trade, and
commerce, as well as to promote and sustain ethical standards and practices in
the conduct of international banking. A recent study by Florida International
University showed that international banking in Florida has an economic impact
of more than $3 billion/year and employs upward of 5,000 people.
