SIIA Announces New Board Members and Officers

    Newly Elected Board and Officers of Leading Tech Trade Association
Includes Executives from Oracle, Thomson Reuters and Red Hat

    WASHINGTON, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Software &
Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association
for the software and digital content industries, today announced the newly
elected members and officers of its Board of Directors. The SIIA Board
consists of representatives from the association's 500-plus member
companies, who are selected by the overall membership. Board members help
determine SIIA priorities and drive the initiatives and projects that are
undertaken each year. "This new Board brings a wealth of knowledge and
experience that will strengthen SIIA and its ability to support the
industry," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. "The Board will be focused on
public policy issues affecting our industry as well as the various SIIA
programs that help industry players understand our complex marketplace,"
added Wasch.

    The newly-elected board members serving through 2009 include:

    -- Fred Hawrysh, Global Director of Corporate Affairs, Thomson Reuters
Corporation

    -- Tom Rabon, Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Red Hat,
Inc.

Quarterly, Inc.

    -- Vice Chairman: Stuart Udell, CEO, Penn Foster

    -- Secretary: Tom Rabon, Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs,

representatives, who will continue serving on the SIIA Board of Directors:
