To 16 States, More Than 30 Major Metropolitan Markets Nationwide
DENVER, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- RMI.NET, Inc. (Nasdaq: RMII), a national
e-business and convergent communications company, announced today that it has
received approval to offer competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) telephone
service in 10 additional states through its subsidiary, Rocky Mountain
Broadband.

The recently added states include Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana,
Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Ohio and Washington. Previously,
Rocky Mountain Broadband offered local and long-distance services in
California, Colorado, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon and West Virginia.
"For consumers, the distinction is quickly fading between a CLEC and a
traditional Internet service provider (ISP). Consumers want both types of
services in one package, from one company," said Douglas H. Hanson, chairman
and chief executive officer for RMI.NET. "The expansion of our CLEC offering
into these new markets provides us the strategic opportunity to expand our
role as a national e-business and convergent communications company, and to
offer high-speed digital access services."
Rocky Mountain Broadband has been granted the authority to offer non-
switched local exchange service (local dial tone) and inter-exchange switched
telecommunications service (long distance) in the 10 states. RMI.NET
currently provides scalable e-business capabilities, customized web page
development and hosting, and digital access to business and residential
consumers in these markets.
