Hotels.com Announces Top 10 Labor Day Destinations; It's Time to Book as Occupancy Rates Climb in Popular Locales

    DALLAS, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- As travelers prepare for one
last getaway this summer, Hotels.com announced today the most popular
destinations for the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend.  Topping the list is
New York, followed by Las Vegas and New Orleans; also making the top 10 are
international destinations London and Paris.
    Labor Day weekend is traditionally a peak travel period and hotel
occupancy levels are expected to be high across the nation.  According to the
New York Convention and Visitors Bureau, occupancy rates will be near 87
percent with both the Republican Convention and the U.S. Open playing a role
in filling rooms while the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Bureau is
expecting occupancy rates to reach more than 95 percent.
