Orlandi Elected President of IABC/Detroit

    DETROIT, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- IABC/Detroit, one of the largest chapters
of the International Association of Business Communicators, recently elected
Cindy Orlandi, APR, as president for 2003-2004.
    "Cindy Orlandi is an outstanding professional and very dedicated to

University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Bowling

and past president of both the Monroe and Toledo Toastmasters.
    A long-standing member of the IABC/Detroit board, Orlandi served as
president-elect of IABC/Detroit and Member of International Dues Restructuring
Task Force in 2002-2003, Treasurer in 2001-2002, Co-Director of Public
Relations in 2000-2001 and Co-Director Membership Committee in 1999-2000.  Her
numerous awards over the years include the IABC 2000 International Chairman's
"Pat on the Back" award for chapter membership retention, two IABC District 7
Silver Quill awards for excellence in speechwriting, and IABC/Detroit
Renaissance awards of honor and merit for annual reports for DTE Energy.  An
accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America, she is a member
of the Detroit chapter and also has won its North Star award of excellence for
financial communications.
