with The Terry College of Business and the National Association of Corporate
Directors on Thursday, September 20, 2001 and Friday, September 21, 2001.
The Directors' College focuses on the increasingly critical and
challenging role corporate boards play in business organizations. The program
develops the skills and insight needed to function as an informed,
contributing board director. By combining the practical knowledge of
experienced business executives with conceptual frameworks developed by highly
acclaimed Terry College of Business faculty, the program highlights the
strategic significance of the corporate board and the tools required to
effectively monitor company performance.
The program is designed for board members interested in gaining insight
into best practices for approaching critical board issues. The program is
particularly valuable for experienced board directors who face especially
challenging circumstances. New board members will also gain the tools and
perspectives they need to ensure a good start. Finally, the topical coverage
of the program is appropriate for accomplished senior executives who aspire to
board service. Acceptance into the class is contingent on qualifications, and
priority will be given to experienced corporate directors.
Sessions for the program will be held at the UGA Alumni Club in the
Buckhead financial district of Atlanta, within walking distance from the
Buckhead MARTA station, and convenient to I-85 and Georgia 400. The
registration fee of $650 includes admission to all sessions, meals,
