TROY, Mich., Aug. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Delphi
Corp. today named Thomas S. Timko, 38, as chief accounting officer (CAO),
effective with the filing of its first quarter 2006 Form 10-Q filed earlier
today. Prior to joining Delphi, Timko was an assistant controller for The
Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG), a group of advertising agencies and
marketing service companies, based in New York. Timko will report to Bob
Dellinger, Delphi chief financial officer.

"Tom's energy, along with his rich experience and extensive knowledge
in financial accounting, will be integral to Delphi as we continue our
reorganization process, while addressing our internal control deficiencies
and implementing a shared services environment," said Dellinger. "More than

CAO, Tom will work closely with the corporate and divisional finance teams,
internal audit, tax and treasury staffs to ensure adherence to the highest
level of accounting and ethical standards."
Timko joined Delphi in June 2006 as controller for the company and has
been working with John Sheehan, Delphi's previous chief accounting officer
to transition responsibilities. Sheehan remains vice president and chief
restructuring officer for Delphi.
Prior to joining IPG in December 2004, Timko was the assistant
controller for industrial manufacturer Dover Corp. in New York. Timko
started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in 1991 in Florham Park,
N.J. and worked in a number of senior accounting roles before joining Dover
in January 2003.
Timko is a Certified Public Accountant and a current member of the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey
Society of Certified Public Accountants. In 1991, he received a bachelor's
degree in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J.
