Parker Hannifin Announces Executive Promotions

CLEVELAND, OH UNITED STATES
    CLEVELAND, Aug. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Parker Hannifin
Corporation (NYSE: PH), the global leader in motion and control
technologies, today announced the promotion of Dana A. Dennis to Senior
Vice President - Finance, and Jon P. Marten to Vice President and Corporate
Controller, following their appointment by the company's Board of
Directors.

    Dennis has served as Vice President and Corporate Controller since
1999. Marten, Assistant Controller since April 2007, will assume Dennis's
responsibilities for internal and external financial controls and
reporting, planning and analysis. Both will report to Timothy K. Pistell,
Executive Vice President - Finance and Administration and Chief Financial
Officer.

    Parker today also announced other executive promotions. Lee C. Banks,
Robert P. Barker, and Thomas L. Williams have each been named Executive
Vice President and Operating Officer. Previously, they served as Senior
Vice President and Operating Officer. Barker will also remain in his role
as the President of Parker's Aerospace Group. They will continue to report
to Chief Executive Officer, Don Washkewicz.
