GRC International Selected by GSA to Provide Information Security Services

            GSA's Safeguard Program Addresses Information Security
                    In Response to Presidential Directive

    VIENNA, Va., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- GRC International (NYSE: GRH) has
been selected to provide critical information technology security services,
under the Safeguard program, to federal government agencies worldwide. GRC
International is one of 27 vendors awarded this contract by the General
Services Administration (GSA). The Safeguard program is a blanket purchase
agreement (BPA), valued at an estimated $250 million, in which all 27 prime
contractors will compete for individual task orders over the next four years.
Through this BPA, GRCI will provide a full range of professional services and
products necessary to strengthen the nation's defense against terrorist
threats, cybercrimes, and attacks on the nation's critical infrastructure.
    As a prime contractor, GRC International has formed an experienced team,
enabling rapid response to any government agency's critical information
security needs. The GRCI Team includes Secure Computing Corp., PESystems, RGII
Technologies Inc., Mele Associates Inc., SphereCom Enterprises Inc., MarCom
Production Services Inc., and Decisions Strategies/Fairfax International LLC.

systems security and information assurance; and emergency preparedness,
awareness training, exercises and simulations.
    The Safeguard program was created in the GSA's Office of Information
Security in response to the Presidential Decision Directive (PDD) 63, launched
by President Clinton in 1998. PDD 63 calls for a national effort to assure the
security of increasingly vulnerable interconnected public and private
