While Thousands of Other Customers Used Their 'Spidey Senses'
To Win Cash, Prizes and Great-Tasting Food
MIAMI, Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Spiderman strikes again at BURGER KING(R)
restaurants, with one lucky winner claiming the $1,000,000 cash prize in the
national Spidey Sense promotion. In true Peter Parker style, the 19-year-old
winner prefers to keep his identity to the public a mystery, while now
juggling the delicate balance of a dual life as a college student and a
millionaire.

When he took his mom to dinner at his local BURGER KING restaurant this
past July 24, he had no idea that he would become America's newest
millionaire. He purchased a #1 WHOPPER(R) Value Meal and received the winning
game piece. But, it was not until he got home and scratched off the web that
he knew he was the winner.
When asked what he was going to do with his winnings for himself and his
real-life "Mary Jane" fiancee, he said, "I am going to buy a house and a new
pickup truck."
Spidey Sense Wins Again ... A Wide Web Of Prizes
Thousands of other BURGER KING(R) guests used their "Spidey Sense" for a
chance to win a web of prizes, including:
* $100,000 SonyStyle.com Shopping Spree
* Three-car prize package of SATURN(R) cars
* Trip for four to Universal Orlando Resort
* LEGO Lifesize Spider-Man Models
* Piaggio Scooters
* Spider-Man Games and DVDs
Web-Slinging Fun
Burger King Corporation launched the Spidey Sense Game at BURGER KING(R)
restaurants across the country earlier this summer in connection with its
promotional tie-in with the action-packed blockbuster Spider-Man(R) 2 opening.
From June 28, 2004 to July 26, 2004, or until game pieces were depleted,
guests were able to use their "Spidey Sense" to select and scratch off one of
two rub-off spots on a game piece for a chance to win prizes including Sony
electronics, tasty BURGER KING food items, a three-car prize package of
SATURN(R) cars and a million dollars in cash payable in $50,000 increments
over 20 years. Guests have until October 4, 2004 to claim prizes.
Each game piece was available on medium, large and king-sized fries, as
well as on large and king-sized soft drinks, each featuring a peel-off image
of Spider-Man's mask, and underneath it were two webs that guests could
scratch off. Every game piece had a prize, so guests had a 50/50 chance of
winning a prize.
Spinning a Web of Success
The Spidey Sense game was one of our most successful summer promotions in
BURGER KING(R) history, helping to positively drive sales and traffic into
BURGER KING restaurants. In fact, it was a love story in the making between
Spider-Man(R) 2 fans and BURGER KING merchandising and toys, so much so that
BURGER KING restaurants distributed 140 million Spider-Man game pieces in less
than four weeks with guests being able to claim more than 132 million free
BURGER KING food items in addition to cash and merchandise prizes.
