MIAMI, Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Burger King Corporation today announced the
appointment of Betty Ann Blandon to Vice President Audit and Risk Management
effective immediately. She will continue to report to John Chidsey,
President, Burger King North America and the Audit Committee of the Board of
Directors of Burger King Corporation.

In this new position, Mrs. Blandon will continue to be responsible for a
worldwide audit program covering operations, information systems and
franchisees. She will also now lead the Risk Management, Loss Control,
Business Services and Building Services teams.

internal audit functions and has been instrumental in our Sarbanes-Oxley
Readiness Program in anticipation of becoming a public company," said Mr.

Mrs. Blandon has over 12 years of audit experience. Prior to joining
Burger King Corporation, she led the Internal Audit Department at Radio Shack.
Mrs. Blandon is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal
Auditor. Her professional activities include serving on the Institute of
Internal Auditor's Board of Research and Education, and she is a member of the
National Retail Federation's Internal Audit Executive Council.
Mrs. Blandon is a graduate of Texas Christian University where she earned
a BBA in Accounting.
