WanWare ISDN BRI Subsystem Available Now at the Forum
SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The Software Group Limited
(TSG), designer and manufacturer of wide-area networking subsystems since 1982
and the first vendor of synchronous connectivity for SCO systems, announced
the availability of the new WanWare ISDN BRI Internet access subsystem. Now
users of SCO Open Server 5.04 can avail themselves of ISDN BRI support with
the same ease of use, high quality and low cost they have enjoyed with TSG
products for almost two decades. WanWare ISDN BRI uses a state of the art
passive adapter to integrate seamlessly with the PPP protocol implementation
included with every OpenServer 5 operating system.
WanWare ISDN BRI is available with both European and North American
interfaces. The product has CE approval in Europe and FCC approval in the
USA.
The hardware support is a short slot ISA card with an RJ-45 socket that
presents an ISDN U interface to an NT1, allowing the ISDN facility to be
shared between devices. Eleven signaling protocol variants are available to
cover all world markets. These span the range from the proprietary CorNet for
the Siemens HiCom products to the ISDNl/ISDN2 for North America. The complete
