PITTSBURGH, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Westinghouse Electric Company today
announced the appointment of Tom Weir as director, Architectural
Engineering (A/E) and Engineering Alliances, effective September 1.
Mr. Weir comes to Westinghouse from Areva NP Inc., where he was senior
vice president of Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls, and Electrical
Systems.
At Westinghouse, Mr. Weir will be responsible for driving further
development and growth of the company's worldwide A/E global strategy, and
engineering alliance product lines.
Mr. Weir has more than 23 years of domestic and international
experience in the nuclear services market and is an active participant in
various industry groups. He began his career as a co-op student at Three
Mile Island and earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
technology from the Pennsylvania State University.
