The Third EXPRESS Opened This Year
WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- EA Industries, Inc.
(NYSE: EA) announced today the opening of their third Tanon EXPRESS facility.
Located in Methuen, MA, this new facility joins the EXPRESS facilities in
Fremont, CA and Wareham, MA.
Tanon EXPRESS facilities, located in close proximity to customer
engineering and manufacturing operations, are dedicated to prototype and quick
turn electronic assembly and test services. Tanon EXPRESS engages the
customer early in the product cycle and provides unparalleled quick-turn and
short lot runs indicative of the customer's needs during the final stages of
product design and initial stages of product start-up. Once the product is
ready for volume production, the transfer to one of the Tanon Manufacturing
volume production centers is quick and reduces time to market.
"Our Methuen EXPRESS operation was created out of the acquisition of the
quick turn assembly assets of Tri-Star Technologies, Inc.," said Frank G.
Brandenberg, EAI President & CEO. "The Methuen EXPRESS currently services a
customer base of approximately 20 electronics companies in the northeast,
resulting in annual revenues in excess of $4.0 million. We expect the growth
rate to be in excess of 30%."
"The Methuen EXPRESS diversifies the Company's customer base from our
traditional telecommunications and satellite communications concentration by
adding customers from the industrial and automotive industries. This new
addition also provides an efficient source for medium volume production,
complementing the high volume capabilities at our West Long Branch, N.J.
facility thereby further increasing our operational efficiencies," said Mr.
Brandenberg.
"The opening of the Methuen plant is part of our aggressive business plan
that we continue to believe will enable the Company to return to profitability
by the end of the fourth quarter. Last week's successful opening of our new
West Coast facility and this expansion of our East Coast operations put us in
a strong position going forward," concluded Brandenberg.

Manufacturing Inc., Tanon EXPRESS and Supply Point Solutions Inc., is a full-
service manufacturing partner servicing the electronics industry from
