BOSTON, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- ImmuLogic Pharmaceutical Corporation
(Nasdaq: IMUL) announced today that its Annual Meeting of Stockholders has
been postponed until Wednesday, August 25, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. at the offices of
Hale and Dorr LLP in Boston, Massachusetts. The principal matter on the
agenda for the meeting was consideration of a plan to liquidate the Company.
J. Richard Crowley, President of ImmuLogic, stated that "Less than a week
ago, we received a communication from a third party that potentially is
interested in putting together a plan to acquire a large position in the
Company with a view to continuing its operations. However, to date we have
not received an offer or any proposal with specific details or terms, and
there is no assurance that the Company will receive any offer or specific
proposal, or that any such offer or proposal will be in the best interests of
all of the Company's shareholders. In order to provide additional time for
the third party to make a specific, detailed proposal, the Board determined
that it was in the best interests of the stockholders to adjourn the meeting
until August 25, 1999."
