ARLINGTON, Texas, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Siemens ElectroCom L.P., a
recognized leader in mail sorting equipment and recognition technologies,
announced today that it has changed its name to Siemens Dematic Postal
Automation L.P.
The transition results from Siemens' recent acquisition of Mannesmann
Dematic. The new company, Siemens Dematic, is a subsidiary of Siemens AG, a
leading international electronics and electrical engineering company. Siemens
Dematic is now the world's largest provider of material handling, logistics
and postal automation solutions.
The former Siemens ElectroCom becomes the company's Postal Automation
Division, with manufacturing and engineering operations in Arlington, Texas
and Constance, Germany. The Arlington operation serves the NAFTA postal
market and is led by Heribert Stumpf, president and CEO.
Siemens Dematic's Postal Automation Division is responsible for providing
mail processing equipment and recognition technology. The company's Material
Handling Automation Division supplies customers with automated material
handling technology and systems integration. Together, both divisions will
provide seamless, integrated solutions to the postal market. Customers now
have a partner with more than 30 years of dedicated postal experience and the
industry's largest base of successful reference projects.
