Installation will be at one of three existing locations, with the final
site determination based on the outcome of pending local government and union
negotiations.
The new machine will allow Fort James to continue serving the highest
quality market segments in Europe.
The company's Board of Directors approved construction of the new machine
at a recent meeting. The project will be financed largely through existing
capital budgets.
This new machine, in part, replaces assets due to be idled in recently
announced plant shutdowns. It is a further step in replacing older capacity
with more modern equipment and in consolidating the plant infrastructure in
Europe.
