Raytheon Launches ISRNet Initiative

GARLAND, Texas, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) today
announced a new initiative to expand Raytheon's position in the intelligence,
surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) market.
ISRNet (ISR Solution and Resource Network) has been launched and reports
to Mike Keebaugh, vice president and general manager of Raytheon's Imagery and
Geospatial Systems business unit. The initiative will span Raytheon's Command
Control Communication and Intelligence business units and will collaborate
with other Raytheon business units extensively.
ISRNet will proactively facilitate communication of capabilities, cross-
Raytheon sharing, and the development of broad ISR visions. It will include
networked Raytheon-wide demonstration facilities at multiple levels of
security. Domain experts will provide linkage to Raytheon resources and lead
major long-term initiatives. A framework for reusable components will be
facilitated by common standards, formats and markup language.
ISRNet's goals are to understand the market by supporting our customers'
strategic directions and to leverage Raytheon business by improving our
effectiveness through cross-Raytheon knowledge, collaboration, sharing and
component reuse.
The ISRNet initiative started in July with a 5-person team lead by Ed
Bush. The team members who are being selected now will include technical,
information management, marketing, and domain experts. Their initial tasks
will include building a resource catalog, designing the component framework,
establishing a network of centers, supporting key near-term pursuits and
launching a marketing campaign.
With headquarters in Lexington, Mass., Raytheon Company is a global
technology leader in defense, government and commercial electronics, and
business and special mission aircraft.
