    SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- MarketWatch.com
( http://cbs.marketwatch.com ), a joint venture between Data Broadcasting

news team that will unilaterally enhance the editorial prowess of the
financial news Web site.
The list of recent appointments to the CBS.MarketWatch.com Web site reads
like a who's who of Internet and financial reporting:

    * Correspondent and Internet Daily columnist Frank Barnako has been named
as a full-time columnist. Barnako writes his column and reports for the
CBS radio network from MarketWatch.com's bureau in Washington, D.C. His
Internet Daily column is becoming a popular source of news about the
      World Wide Web.
    * Internet pundit Rebecca Eisenberg will provide a weekly column to the
site. Eisenberg, who appears regularly on ZD-TV and writes a weekly
column for the San Francisco Examiner, is known as an irreverent and
fiery journalist. Her NouveauGeek column will appear regularly on
      MarketWatch.com.
    * Simon Walsh joins MarketWatch.com from American Online, where he helped
develop AOL's Market Center. As Director of Subscription Services, Walsh
will develop and run MarketWatch.com's new subscription service. Walsh,
who was with Bloomberg News prior to AOL, will work out of the
      MarketWatch.com bureau in Washington, D.C.
    * Stephanie O'Brien has been added to MarketWatch.com markets and
companies coverage. The former Bloomberg News reporter, who was most
recently with the Carson Group in New York City, will also be writing
about institutional holdings of U.S. fund management groups.
    * MarketWatch.com's rising star Suzanne Miller has been promoted to London
Bureau chief. Miller will continue writing her regular pieces on
European stock, bond and currency markets, which have run on
MarketWatch.com since she became London correspondent in March 1998. The
former Dow Jones financial writer specializes in capital markets and the
      banking industry.

"These are enormously talented journalists and commentators," said
Larry Kramer, CEO of MarketWatch.com. "Thom Calandra has assembled a terrific
news team that regularly breaks news on our Web site, as well as on radio and
television with CBS News. Our goal is to be the first and best source of
financial news, and every day we get better at it. In journalism, there is no
