WASHINGTON and ATLANTA, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Powell, Goldstein, Frazer
& Murphy LLP announced today that Robert Barker has joined the Firm as a
Partner.
With nearly 20 years of experience as a lawyer dealing with mergers &
acquisitions, securities, and international trade and investment issues, Mr.
Barker will add to the Firm's growing International and Business Transactions
practices.
Mr. Barker spent eight years with Shearman & Sterling and Skadden, Arps,
Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York before joining The Coca-Cola Company's Legal
Division in Atlanta in 1991. During the last two years, Mr. Barker has been
engaged with a private practice in Atlanta, specializing in international
investments (in-bound and outbound), mergers & acquisitions, and bank finance.
Mr. Barker has also advised various sports marketing clients in domestic and
international intellectual property transactions.
