Floral Arrangement Ideas Blooming at Jewel-Osco; Wildly Popular Bouquet Program Enters Second Year

MELROSE PARK, Ill, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Blossoming with ideas for
presenting unique flower arrangements, Chicagoland's leading food and drug
combination retailer will help floral enthusiasts create their own artistic
bouquets during an upcoming series of in-store presentations.
With flowers in full-bloom and demand peaking, Jewel-Osco floral
departments will demonstrate quick and easy designs to transform fresh floral
bunches into beautiful bouquets and arrangements, Saturday, Sept. 5, at
10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., at Chicagoland Jewel-Osco Stores.
Each free demonstration, 30 to 45-minutes in length, will be presented by
a professional floral designer.
"Not only do our floral experts share their expertise in floral arranging
with our customers, they also answer customer questions on a variety of floral
topics," said Mike Spinozzi, vice-president of Jewel-Osco fresh food
merchandising. "Demonstrations like this are always a lot of fun and people
will enjoy learning new techniques for working with fresh flowers."
Those attending one of the design sessions will receive a free vase and
valuable floral coupons.
Jewel Floral Departments offer 32 flower varieties arriving fresh daily
from national and international growers, from California to Thailand. Since
launching the "Three Bouquets For $10 Program" in September 1997, it has grown
to be one of the most popular programs with store customers.
