Unisys at the 2002 Wonders of Technology Minnesota State Fair; 'Providing A Safe, Friendly Travel Solution With the Latest in Biometric Technology'

    MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, Minn., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ --
    The Travel Industry has changed!
With the increasing congestion at airports today, alternative methods to
agent assisted passenger check-in is becoming more readily available. The
rapidly changing aviation industry requires a faster, friendly, and more
accurate and secure method of processing passengers. One method is to allow
passengers to check themselves in using an easy to use kiosk that incorporates
state-of-the art biometric or positive identification technologies.

Try the Unisys Self-Service Traveler Check-In solution at the Wonders of
     Technology!
The 2002 Unisys exhibit introduces Wonders of Technology (WOT) visitors to
a fun, interactive check-in kiosk, incorporated with the very latest in
biometric or positive identification technologies.
-- A WOT visitor or traveler will be invited to "check themselves in" by
answering a few simple questions. The application uses enhanced
graphics and a guided process that would allow a passenger to quickly
check themselves in, change seats, collect their boarding passes and
bag tags. The flexibility of the application design allows the
capability to integrate a biometric into the kiosk check-in process.
-- Once checked-in, a passenger receipt ticket or boarding pass will be
printed and the participant can take the ticket and proceed through the
       "gate."

    What are Biometric Technologies?
There are a number of positive identification systems. The biometric
choices highlighted at the Wonders of Technology include Iris Scanning,
Fingerprint, and Ambient light facial recognition. Again, the 2002 Unisys
exhibit incorporates just some of the newly developed identification
technologies and possibilities.
