    2:45am - 9:00pm -- Meet Gerard Lagos
    Gerard Lagos, a U of M graduate and a very popular member of the Minnesota
     Thunder Soccer team from day one (who retired this year).  He played a
     significant role in the design of the Bobsled system.  Gerard is a good
     example of a professional athlete in one sport designing equipment for
     quite a different sport.

                     Wonders of Technology Ongoing Events

    Architecture & Engineering Exhibit
    Activities include K'nex bridge building competition and demonstrations of
architecture and engineering software, fairgoers can also build their own
bridge with this software.

    Edugeeks/eStar Learners will have a variety of activities during the State
Fair in the Wonders of Technology Building.  Demonstrations will be occurring
every 30 minutes explaining eStar Learners Club's first motivational quest,
"Lost on Virtual Island."  Short workshops on great tech products will occur
throughout the day.

    Engineering Athletes Exhibit
    Daily demonstrations of a hockey training treadmill, used by the Minnesota
Wild, and a bobsled push-start simulator used by the US Olympic Bobsled Team.

    Applied CAD/CAM, Inc
    Visitors will be able to experience hands-on the quality and superior
performance professional 3D modeling software has to offer.  We will educate
visitors on the process of a product life cycle.  Activities for children
include the ability to manipulate the structure of a Pine Derby Car.

    Science Museum of Minnesota
    Science Museum of Minnesota exhibit activities include draw your own
Viking ship, stamp your name in runes, Viking Voyage computer game and Wild
Chimpanzees computer interactive.  Fair goers can also get a free Viking ship
hat.
