CHESTERFIELD, Mo., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Reliv
International, Inc., (Nasdaq: RELV), a developer, manufacturer and marketer
of proprietary nutritional supplements, today said it named Michael D.
Smith, former vice president of government and industry affairs at Nu Skin
Enterprises, to its board of directors.
Smith, 60, has wide-ranging experience in the direct selling industry
and in international markets. At Nu Skin, prior to his position in
government and industry affairs, Smith served as regional vice president
for South Asia and the Pacific, and vice president of North Asia and Asian
Operations. He also has worked extensively with the U.S. Direct Selling
Association (DSA).
"Michael Smith brings excellent international expertise, particularly
in Asia, to our board of directors," said Robert L. Montgomery, chairman,
president and CEO of Reliv. "His experience at Nu Skin and his deep
knowledge of direct selling gained during his service to DSA will make

While at Nu Skin, Smith also served as general counsel. Prior to
joining Nu Skin, he worked for the Attorney General of Utah, the U.S.
Attorney for Utah, and he served on active duty in the Army Judge Adjutant
General's (JAG) Corps. He retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Smith earned B.S. and M.A. degrees from Brigham Young University, and a
law degree from the University of Utah.
With the addition of Smith, Reliv now has eight members of its board of
directors.
