John Stratton, vice president and chief marketing officer for Verizon
Wireless, noted: "Our customers don't have to wait until next year or whenever
for wireless broadband to be available - let alone only in business corridors.
Today, Verizon Wireless has expanded the reach of its EV-DO network, but we're
also rewarding new and existing voice customers with a tremendous opportunity
to save when they sign up for BroadbandAccess."
Roger Entner, vice president of wireless telecom at Ovum, added: "Verizon
Wireless can offer its BroadbandAccess customers unlimited access for less
because it has the lead in EV-DO services. Verizon Wireless customers can
enjoy a competitive advantage because they can quickly access information
behind their firewall when they're away from the office in more than 60 major
metropolitan areas and airports -- wherever they need to work. And the
monthly BroadbandAccess cost of $59.99 is a terrific value, giving businesses
a strong return on their investment."
