Supermarket Chain Offering Sweepstakes to Win Two Roundtrip Airline Tickets
To Anywhere in the Continental U.S., Plus Will Donate Up to $25,000
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Ralphs Supermarkets is proud to
announce its support of the Alzheimer's Association with a unique sweepstakes
promotion. For the next two weeks, customers purchasing selected Kimberly
Clark products will have an opportunity to win airline tickets and a
$500 Robinson's-May gift certificate.
The Ralphs Club/Alzheimer's Association's "Memories in the Making"
Sweepstakes will run in Southern California Ralphs stores from August 29
through September 11. All customers purchasing three participating Kimberly
Clark paper products with their Ralphs Club or Senior Rewards Card will
automatically be entered in the sweepstakes promotion. Grand prize of the
sweepstakes is two roundtrip airline tickets to any destination in the
continental United States. First Prize is a $500 gift certificate to
Robinson's-May.
In addition to the sweepstakes, Ralphs is donating $1 for each
participating Kimberly Clark item purchased through September 11 to the
Alzheimer's Association -- up to $25,000.

plus reward our loyal customers with a chance to win some exciting prizes,"
said Chuck Ackerman, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Ralphs.
A random drawing to determine the sweepstakes winners will be held on or
about September 26, 2001. The sweepstakes is available in all 299 Ralphs
locations throughout Southern California.
Ralphs also is encouraging participation in the Alzheimer's Association's
Memory Walk by providing registration forms in its stores. The Memory Walk
will take place on Saturday, October 6 in Los Angeles at Hollywood Park
Racetrack and in Orange County at Irvine Spectrum Center.

Sweepstakes is the latest giveaway in connection with its popular Ralphs Club
and Senior Rewards frequent shopper programs.
The Ralphs Club Card and Senior Rewards Card (for shoppers at least
60 years old) entitle Ralphs shoppers to extra savings on thousands of items
throughout the store, and they're free. Customers may sign up for the cards
at their local Ralphs supermarkets. Currently, more than 10 million Ralphs
customers are either Ralphs Club or Senior Rewards cardholders.
