ATLANTA, July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- GNB Technologies, manufacturer of
Championa lead-acid batteries, is renewing sponsorship of Jodi Clark and Clark
Racing. Clark is in second place for the Mid-America Super Truck series in
points for Rookie of the Year and is seventh in the overall points race.
Clark's Ford F-150 truck is emblazoned with the Champion TrailBlazer(R)
logo, GNB Technologies' top selling sport utility vehicle and truck battery.
The truck will race in more than 19 races this season, and will be seen by
more than 1 million racing fans.

Chuck Fowler, automotive product manager for GNB Technologies, and an avid
racing fan, took notice of Clark when he was Rookie of the Year at two tracks
in 1996, and second in the nation in Wissota-sanctioned racing in the upper
Midwest and Canada. "Finding new talent is always exciting," says Fowler, "and
we had the opportunity to get in on the ground floor to build a highly visible
- and highly mobile - branded truck."
Born in Wisconsin, Clark moved to Minnesota when he was three. Always a
car buff, he still owns his complete Hot Wheels(R) collection which originally
sparked his interest in auto racing. His two older brothers, veteran drag
racers Ron Clark and Wayne Clark, carried Jodi along with them to the drag
strips from the time he could barely see over the steering wheel. The racing
bug never left him as he traveled around the country to see the big tracks
nationwide.
"Quick reflexes keep me on the track - and out of trouble," says Clark,
"but nothing is more important than consistency. I drive every race
concentrating on my quest to be a champion."
