Stephanie Miller Adds New Progressive Voice to Political Talk

    WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Radio and television personality
Stephanie Miller is the next big voice to rock the airwaves as she debuts her
new progressive talk radio show this month. Originating from Los Angeles, THE
STEPHANIE MILLER SHOW, will premiere on September 7, 2004, airing live,
9 AM - noon, ET (6 AM - 9 AM, PT) weekdays on radio stations across the
nation.
    She is no stranger to political talk and current events, as her late
father William E. Miller, was the Republican Party nominee for Vice President
in 1964, running with Presidential candidate Barry Goldwater.  The Democratic
candidate was Lyndon B. Johnson, who won the election and was the nation's
36th President.  Now, exactly forty years after her father accepted the GOP
nomination, his daughter Stephanie embarks on her own crusade.
    "I find it interesting that John Kerry is the one who is the victim of
dirty politics this year with the Republican swift boat ads, just as my father
and Goldwater were the victims of it in 1964 with the famous mushroom cloud
ad," says Miller.  "I think my father would be appalled at how mean-spirited
the Republican Party has become since then.  That's why my first project will
be to sponsor an ad by a group called 'TEXAS PEDAL-BOAT VETERANS FOR TRUTH',
which will highlight various people who were allegedly injured in drunk
driving peddle boat accidents by GEORGE W. BUSH when he was supposed to be on
National Guard duty during Vietnam."
    Her fresh voice and political satire has been cultivated over years of
experience as a media personality and comedienne. Most recently she was a host
for I've Got a Secret on cable's Oxygen network and celebrity game show
panelist on the PAX Network's Balderdash. Miller has 15 years of major market
radio experience at KABC and KFI in Los Angeles and other stations in New York
and Chicago.  She hosted a late-night network television talk show syndicated
by Disney and guest hosted on CNBC's EQUAL TIME as the liberal counterweight
to Bay Buchanan. She also has appeared on ABC'S "GOOD MORNING AMERICA," NBC's
"TODAY" and "TONIGHT SHOW," CNN's Larry King, FOX's "O'REILLY" and many
others.
