GPC Biotech to Present at BioCentury's 12th NewsMakers in the Biotech Industry Investment Conference in New York City

    MARTINSRIED/MUNICH, Germany, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- U.S.
Research and Development Facilities in Waltham/Boston, Mass. and Princeton,
N.J. -- GPC Biotech AG (Frankfurt Stock Exchange: GPC; TecDAX index; Nasdaq:
GPCB) today announced that the Company will present at BioCentury's 12th
NewsMakers in the Biotech Industry Investment Conference in New York, New
York.
    The presentation will be given by Mirko Scherer, Ph.D., Chief Financial
Officer of GPC Biotech, and is scheduled for Friday, September 9, 2005, 8:30
AM EDT/14:30 CET at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. The presentation
will be webcast live and will be accessible through the GPC Biotech Web site
at http://www.gpc-biotech.com. A replay will be available via the Web site
following the live event.
    GPC Biotech AG is a biopharmaceutical company discovering and developing
