MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Minnesota High Tech Association
(MHTA) announced today that Qwest Communications International Inc. is
enabling attendees of the Minnesota State Fair to make donations online to the
American Red Cross to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Filled with hands-on exhibits and interactive kiosks, the Wonders of
Technology is the largest educational display of technology in the United
States with approximately 800,000 visitors every year. The Wonders of
Technology exhibit is presented by the MHTA and the Minnesota High Technology
Foundation.
For the duration of the fair, Qwest, which has had an exhibit at the
Wonders of Technology throughout the fair, will have computers with Internet
access dedicated solely to the American Red Cross website:
http://www.redcross.org .
With the assistance of Qwest, fairgoers, with the click of a button, can
step in to help victims of what is being called one of the most catastrophic
natural disasters in U.S. history.
