Tervela to Speak on Ultra-Low Latency Panel at Gartner Event Processing Summit

Founder & CTO to Discuss Benefits of Hardware-Based, Message-Oriented
                                 Middleware

NEW YORK, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Tervela, the leading provider of
high-performance, low-latency messaging systems, today announced that its
founder and CTO, J. Barry Thompson, will be speaking on a panel entitled
"Ultra-Low Latency Messaging" at Gartner's Event Processing Summit. The
panel discussion, slated for September 16 at 11:00am EDT, will take place
in Grand Ballroom II at the Hilton Stamford Hotel in Stamford, Connecticut.

Conventional message-oriented middleware (MOM) products and standard
communication protocols are unable to meet the ultra-low latency and high
throughput requirements of demanding event-processing applications. This
session offers an analysis of the specialized genre of next-generation MOM
tools that are purpose-built to satisfy the extreme messaging applications
found in capital markets trading, aerospace, defense, industrial automation
and embedded systems. Roy Schulte, Gartner VP distinguished analyst, will
moderate a panel of leading tool vendors to discuss:

-- The strengths and limitations of different kinds of product
architectures designed to support data messaging environments.

-- Application characteristics banks should look for in an ultra-low
latency MOM solution.

-- Differentiators between solutions in the ultra-low latency messaging
marketplace.

"With the financial marketplace at such a pivotal point of evolution, a
discussion about ultra-low latency messaging is timely," Thompson said.
"Traditional MOM solutions and standard communication protocols cannot meet
the low-latency requirements of end-user banks. Data messaging
infrastructures require a mezzanine layer that can easily integrate with
legacy systems and new applications. The Tervela Message Network solves
existing messaging challenges while providing the foundation for the
future."
