LAS VEGAS, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Alliance Gaming Corp. (Nasdaq: ALLY) announced today that its Bally Gaming and
Systems unit plans to display 111 unique game titles on a variety of slot
machine platforms at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, including a
revolutionary new wide-area progressive link and a wide variety of themes that
showcase licensed titles.
The Global Gaming Expo (G2E), the gaming industry's largest trade show,
offers Bally Gaming and Systems an unparalleled opportunity to showcase a wide
variety of new products. These include new video and reel-spinning games on
its Thrillions(R) wide-area progressive system, a variety of new video titles,
a strong selection of reel-spinning and EVO(TM) HYBRID games and a large
demonstration area of Bally Systems products and technology.
G2E is set for Sept. 17-19, 2002 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and
the "BALLY LIVE!" theme will be utilized to showcase the 129 machines and
111 unique titles that Bally Gaming and Systems plans to display. Celebrities
and other special guests will be "on stage" throughout the show.
"Our game pipeline is starting to flow at full speed and we are continuing
to build upon the successes of the past 12 months by capitalizing on the
significant improvements in our game development and engineering departments,"
said Robert Miodunski, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance
Gaming. "The past year has demonstrated that we are indeed producing new
games across all platforms that appeal to all segments of the market, both
domestically and internationally."
One of the most notable new gaming products that will be launched at G2E,
Cash For Life(TM) is a unique wide-area progressive link that offers players
the opportunity to win a minimum of $1,000 a week for the rest of their lives.
The Cash For Life concept will be featured on both reel-spinning and video
platforms in a variety of high-profile game themes. Another distinctive
feature of Cash For Life is that players will be able to play for the top
progressive reward across different denominations.
"Cash For Life is truly a breakthrough concept that will revolutionize the
way players can win a top progressive award," notes Mickey Roemer, Senior Vice
President of Sales and Game Development of Bally Gaming and Systems.
"Previously, winners of major progressive jackpots could only take either a
lump-sum payment or receive an annual annuity. Who wouldn't want to get a
check for $1,000 each and every week for the rest of their lives?"
One of the first marquee games scheduled to be unveiled as part of the
Cash For Life progressive link is based on one of the most popular TV game
shows of all time: Concentration(TM). Featuring Bally Gaming's
technologically advanced EVO VIDEO interactive platform, Concentration will
offer players all of the excitement and suspense of the original TV show that
challenged contestants to match key parts of a puzzle for valuable prizes.
Another new Cash For Life game will showcase well-known game show host Bob
Eubanks.
There will also be a Cash For Life game with a Blues Brothers theme, one
of four Saturday Night Live titles that will be on display along with the
Coneheads, Church Lady and Hans and Franz.
Bally Gaming will use this year's gaming show to debut new EVO VIDEO and
EVO HYBRID slot machines based on one of the world's most recognizable
entertainment brands: PLAYBOY. These new interactive slots follow the
successful launch of reel-spinning games featuring the distinctive PLAYBOY
personality developed for both the domestic and international markets. The
EVO HYBRID version of the Playboy video slot features a 15-inch touch-screen
liquid crystal display (LCD) positioned directly above the reels.
Bally will also introduce two new games featuring comedians Tim Conway and
Harvey Korman. Their likenesses will be featured on a new reel-spinning slot
entitled Joker's Wild and a new EVO VIDEO game called Last Resort(TM).
The dazzling new Monte Carlo(TM) game heads the list of reel-spinners that
will be on display along with the "Money Series" and a variety of four-reel
games spawned by the runaway success of the Bonus Frenzy(TM) game. With
hundreds of advance orders already placed, Monte Carlo gives operators a game
with a top-box bonus event that is available in either participation or
premium sale pricing options.
Also debuting at the Global Gaming Expo is a new EVO VIDEO featuring
legendary cartoon character, Popeye(R). The new Popeye Ship Wheel Bonus(TM)
offers a rapid-hit progressive jackpot and faster game play for increased time
on device. In addition, a new 27-coin version of the original Popeye EVO
VIDEO slot will be showcased, along with three new Popeye-themed reel-spinning
progressive slots, Popeye Bonus Frenzy(TM), Popeye Spinach Bonus(TM) and
Popeye Super Scatter(TM).
Bally Gaming will also introduce a number of new licensed titles to the
gaming industry. These include both reel-spinning and video games based on
such well-known cartoon characters as Mr. Magoo(TM) and Richie Rich(TM), as
well as a new reel-spinning slot featuring master showman Liberace. In
addition, the company will highlight a number of new slot devices featuring
two of its most popular licensed titles, Betty Boop(TM) and Blondie(R).
Joining the Movie Star Betty Boop(TM) and Blondie Double Feature(TM) EVO VIDEO
slots will be reel-spinners such as Betty Boop's World Tour(TM), Betty Boop's
Bonus Frenzy(TM), Betty Boop's Super Scatter(TM), Blondie Bonus Frenzy(TM),
Blondie Super Scatter(TM) and Dagwood's Big Bonus(TM).
Other major licensed titles from Bally Gaming that will be on display
during G2E include Frankie & Annette's Beach Party(TM) EVO VIDEO, a new
Frankie & Annette's Dance Party(TM) ProSlot(R) 6000 reel-spinner, Ray Charles
America The Beautiful(TM) EVO VIDEO, Ray Charles What'd I Pay(TM) EVO VIDEO,
Winning For Dummies(TM) EVO VIDEO and To Tell The Truth(TM) EVO VIDEO.
Bally Gaming's Systems Division will also be featured prominently at this
year's G2E. The recent acquisitions of Advanced Casino Systems Corporation
(ACSC), Casino Marketplace and an exclusive distribution agreement with
MindPlay, LLC will mean an expanded Systems presence as part of Bally Gaming's
display at the show. Systems representatives will be on hand to conduct live
demonstrations of various product suites, including cashless products such as
SDS(R) Ticketing(TM) and SDS Coupon(TM). There will also be live demos of the
new MindPlay 21(TM) Control System for blackjack table games.
