New Orleans' No. 1 Tourist Attraction Welcoming Back Locals and Visitors With Second Line Celebration

 Harrah's New Orleans Hotel and Casino Reopens Saturday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m.

    NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Harrah's New Orleans in downtown
New Orleans will reopen Saturday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m., less than a week
after Hurricane Gustav. The community will be welcomed at the steps of
Harrah's Casino on Canal St. with a traditional New Orleans style second
line celebration.

    Located at the foot of Canal St. and the Mississippi River, Harrah's
sustained no damage during this week's storms. In fact, Harrah's staff was
cleaning up the exterior of the property within 24 hours after the
hurricane. All of the features and games made famous at Harrah's New
Orleans will be open starting Saturday night, including Besh Steak and
Harrah's famous buffet. The Terry Steele concert set for Sept. 5 - 6, at
Harrah's Theatre, has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later
date. Harrah's entertainment schedule will continue on Wednesday, Sept. 10,
with DJ Captain Charles, at Harrah's Masquerade.

Orleans, starting Saturday night," said Jim Hoskins, senior vice president

    During the storm Harrah's maintained their commitment to their
employees by maintaining consistent contact with managers and staff and
paying all employees while the casino and hotel were closed this week.
