The Company's two primary product offerings are:
1. Autologous cellular implants for regenerating heart muscle damaged
from a heart attack.
2. Proprietary endovascular device to implant cells in the heart.
Bioheart's cellular implants will address significant markets for disease
states such as congestive heart failure (4.6 million patients in the US) and
myocardial infarction (7.2 million patients).
Bioheart Technology
Myoblasts are an effective cell transplantation source for heart muscle
regeneration since they are committed to become muscle, are resistant to
ischemia, do not over proliferate and are able to assume cardiac workload.
Dr. Doris Taylor has demonstrated that myoblasts are fundamental to the
success of the procedure. Phillippe Menasche M.D. has conducted initial human
cases and has reported improvements in cardiac function, using autologous
myoblasts in a patient with a previous infarct.
