GLIMA Offers Ryder Cup Tickets in First Membership Drive

    DETROIT, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- GLIMA, southeastern Michigan's

a reactive organization to proactive one.
Just weeks after announcing its new Board of Directors and Trustees (see

in South Eastern Michigan, announced plans for its first membership drive
through its participation at the 2004 Ryder Cup, Sept. 14-19 at Oakland Hills
C.C. in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
In an effort to expand its growing number of technical professionals, from
now until Monday, Sept. 13, GLIMA, in cooperation with the Great Lakes
Journal, is offering new and existing members a chance to win two one-day VIP
passes, which includes parking and hospitality, for professional golf's

"We wanted to provide an incentive for new membership and there is no
better way than to offer a chance to win tickets and be a part of one of the
largest and most prestigious events in the world!" said GLIMA President John
Channell. "After thinking this plan further, we decided why not put this
offer on the table for the whole association?"
As part of the other charitable events taking place at the Ryder Cup,
GLIMA will donate $5.00 from every new and existing membership sign up to the
Autistic Children's Treatment Network (ACT Network).
