Grainger Partners with Requisite Technology to Create Enhanced Electronic Commerce Solutions for Customers

    CHICAGO, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- W.W. Grainger, Inc. (NYSE: GWW), has
announced a multi-year agreement with Requisite Technology, Inc., a leader in
electronic catalog technology and content services, as part of a
broad-reaching initiative to enhance the way it serves customers and
suppliers.  The two companies will utilize web-based technologies to build and
maintain Grainger's product information, making it easily accessible over the
Internet or inside a customer's purchasing systems.  Grainger also announced
it participated in Requisite Technology's recent round of financing, as part
of its emphasis on electronic commerce.

and accurately is key to how we create value for our customers and suppliers,"

Requisite will help us create a seamless flow of product information from our

improve the indirect materials supply process and drive down its total cost."

include an integrated text and parametric finding engine, and tools for
sophisticated data authoring, maintenance and publication.  "Their ability to
