FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Protein Design Labs,
Inc. (PDL) (Nasdaq: PDLI) today announced that it will host an R&D Update in
New York City on October 15, 2004. The event will be held at the Four Seasons
Hotel, 57 East 57th Street in New York City, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Eastern
time. There will be a webcast available at http://www.pdl.com.
As part of the program, PDL will update the status of and recent data from
its key clinical development programs, including the Nuvion(R) (visilizumab)
antibody product currently in a Phase I / II clinical trial for the potential
treatment of severe steroid-refractory ulcerative colitis; daclizumab in Phase
II for the treatment of patients with moderate-to-severe asthma; and M200, an
anti-alpha5 beta1 antibody currently in a Phase I study in advanced solid
tumors. PDL additionally expects to discuss several of its promising
preclinical development candidates. A mix of senior company representatives
and outside investigators are expected to present the various updates and to
