DALLAS, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was released today by
Bishop T.D. Jakes:
As we remember September 11, 2001, it is only natural that we grieve and
relive many of the feelings we experienced two years ago. The tragedy was so
great and the violation so intense that those memories are etched in our
hearts and minds. It is quite obvious that those events have changed our
lives forever.
As we continue to heal from the events of September 11, 2001, let us also
be cognizant of how that day molded us into a more caring nation. We learned
how to unite as an indivisible force and selflessly help each other through
the pain. Today, we are more likely to hug friends, help our neighbors and
say, "I love you" to our families daily. Most importantly, we learned the
value of life and living it fully. And, though the intent of our attackers
was to destroy our faith, our shared pain has forged us into a closer and more
resilient nation.
