Florida Retirement Community Utilizes National Notification Network System to Warn Residents of Impending Hurricane

Buena Vida Estates Finds Significant Value in System for Both
                  Emergency and Non-Emergency Notifications

GLENDALE, Calif., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- National Notification Network
(3n), a leading provider of mass notification systems, today announced that
the Buena Vida Estates Retirement Community has implemented and is utilizing
the company's flagship product. The Melbourne, Florida retirement community
used the system to alert its residents of the imminent approach of Hurricane
Charley in August.
Using delivery preferences requested by Buena Vida residents, the 3n
system rapidly disseminated messages containing news of the hurricane and
action instructions to all 150 homeowners. All messages were tracked and
delivered, and more than 75 percent of the residents confirmed receipt using
their phones' touch-tone systems.
Though residents ultimately were not affected by the hurricane, having a
tool in place for safe, quick evacuations was a relief for Ralph Bishop, the
community's executive director. "The 3n system is delivering in our time of
need. It quickly and efficiently communicates potentially life-saving
information. We are relieved to have a reliable system to assist us during
emergencies," he said.
Bishop has upgraded his package after only a few months of use because of
the system's demonstrated value. "We have been using the 3n system more than
we originally anticipated, especially for urgent messages in non-emergency
situations, including alarm testing, electricity loss after storms and other
routine issues such as voting," he said.
"3n's mass notification system is designed to offer value in both
emergency and non-emergency situations for customers in many industries," said
Cinta Putra, CEO and co-founder of 3n. "Organizations like Buena Vida are
discovering what a powerful communication tool it is. The community's quick
response to the hurricane proved the system's effectiveness in keeping
residents informed and safe under all conditions."
The 3n system is a customizable communication platform based on
application of existing data, telephony and Internet technologies. As an
outsourced technology, 3n's system frees organizations from having to purchase
any additional equipment or software.
3n's system allows government agencies, businesses, schools, and other
organizations and institutions to upload an entire database of contacts and
notify them instantly in the event of an emergency or other event requiring
quick and secure dissemination of information. Messages can be relayed to all
modes of communication used by contacts including phones (home, work and
cell), email, pager, fax, and wireless devices such as laptops, PDA's and
Blackberries.
