CHICAGO, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Borg-Warner Security Corporation
(NYSE: BOR), the world's largest physical security company, and ADT Security
Services, the largest electronic security company, today announced the
expansion of their strategic alliance to include the United States and Canada.
The expanded alliance will offer customers a single source supplier
offering the most comprehensive, integrated security solutions. This
announcement follows the July 7, 1998 announcement of the strategic alliance
in the United Kingdom between ADT Fire and Security and Burns International
Security Services, a Borg-Warner subsidiary.
Borg-Warner also announced that James F. McNulty, president of Borg-Warner
Total Security Solutions, will assume expanded responsibility for all sales
and marketing functions for the corporation.

to our customers that we are putting the full resources of Borg-Warner

Adorjan noted that the Borg-Warner alliance with ADT, which comes on the
first anniversary of Borg-Warner's introduction of Total Security Solutions,
allows both companies to capitalize on their respective strengths and to offer
the best total solution for our customers' security needs.
