BILLERICA, Mass., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Peritus Software Services, Inc.
(Nasdaq: PTUS), a leading provider of solutions for software maintenance,
today appointed John D. Giordano as its chief financial officer. In his new
position, Giordano will manage the corporation's finance and accounting
functions, and will have primary responsibility for financial strategy, tax
matters, and investor and bank relationships. Giordano will report to
President and Chief Executive Officer Allen Deary.

Prior to joining Peritus, Giordano served as vice president and chief
financial officer and treasurer for Bull HN Information systems. He served on
the Board of Directors for Peritus Software Services, Inc. through its IPO
process and managed Bull's investment in the company. He also served as
Bull's vice president of business operations responsible for pricing,
logistics and repair, and finance and administration for Bull's North America
customer Services Division.
