Fujitsu Microelectronics America to Feature Full Set of MCUs, Fingerprint Sensor ICs at Embedded Systems Conference Sept. 13-16

New 8-Bit F2MC-8FX Series to be Introduced at Booth 815

BOSTON, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Fujitsu Microelectronics America (FMA)
will introduce a new microcontroller (MCU) series and demonstrate its complete
family of 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers -- along with FMA's
innovative fingerprint sensor ICs -- at the Embedded Systems Conference Sept.
13-16 at the Hynes Center in Boston.
The Fujitsu MBF200 touch sensors and MBF310 Sweep Sensor(TM) will be
demonstrated in the booth. These two proven ICs are currently deployed in a
growing set of biometric solutions, including handheld identity verification
products, embedded matching systems and PC peripherals. FMA is working with
leading software vendors to deliver advanced and reliable fingerprint sensor-
based products and solutions.
FMA will also showcase its comprehensive family of 32-bit RISC
microcontrollers, which operate at between 50MHz and 200MHz, and incorporate
up to 160KB integrated SRAM and up to 768KB embedded Flash. They are ideal for
use in automotive systems, robotics, motor-control applications, entertainment
appliances, digital cameras, and other consumer and computer products. Each
incorporates the CAN bus, along with features such as micro DSP, DMAC, DRAM
controller, LCD controller, high-speed A/D conversion, USB connectivity, and
pulse width modulation (PWM).

New 8-bit F2MC-8FX Series to be Introduced
Led by the new 8-bit F2MC-8FX series, FMA will exhibit a full range of
8-bit and 16-bit MCUs, which incorporate between 24KB and 768KB of Flash
memory, along with buses and network connectivity capabilities including CAN,
USB, and UART. The MCUs also include A/D and D/A converters, LCD controllers,
PWM, and DMA controllers. They are used in barcode scanners, motor-control
applications, card readers, control panels, robotics and factory-automation
systems, medical equipment and automotive subsystems. The new F2MC-8FX
series, which runs at 100 nanoseconds using a full CISC architecture, is ideal
for consumer electronics applications. (See related release.)
