WASHINGTON, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CarrAmerica Realty
Corporation (NYSE: CRE) today announced that John Moe has joined the company
as Senior Vice President for the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Moe's primary
responsibility will be the leasing and marketing of CarrAmerica's San
Francisco Bay Area office and R&D portfolio, which includes 82 buildings
containing over 5.8 million square feet. In addition, Mr. Moe will be
actively involved in identifying investment opportunities in the region.

CarrAmerica's Managing Director for the San Francisco Bay Area,
Christopher Peatross, stated, "John is an outstanding real estate professional
who brings us extensive experience in leasing, asset management, property

Mr. Moe has over 20 years of experience in the Northern and Southern
California commercial real estate industry. Before joining CarrAmerica, he
was with DivcoWest Group in Palo Alto for four years, where he served as
Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management. In this position, Mr. Moe was
involved in closing 4.7 million square feet of commercial leases,
acquisitions, and dispositions in excess of $1 billion. Prior to joining
DivcoWest Group, Mr. Moe was with Cornerstone Properties/William Wilson &
Associates for four years, where he served as Regional Vice President for
Southern California and was responsible for the closing of 2.1 million square
feet of leases totaling $530 million. In addition, he provided asset
management due diligence for regional acquisitions and dispositions of 2.7
million square feet totaling $530 million. Prior to this, Mr. Moe was with
Maguire Thomas Partners for eight years, where he served as Vice President and
Senior Manager of leasing and asset management for several large scale mixed-
use office developments in Southern California and Philadelphia.
Mr. Moe holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University
of California, Davis and an MBA in Corporate Finance and Real Estate/Urban
Land Economics from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. In
addition, he holds the designations of Certified Commercial Investment Member
and Certified Property Manager from the CCIM Institute and the Institute of
Real Estate Management, respectively.
